Am I ready?
Yesterday, a friend of mine passed away. She was only 46 and if I might say, still in the prime of her life. She was on life support for 2 days and her loved ones, family and friends never stopped praying for a miracle but Allah knew best. She succumbed to brain aneurysm but not before putting up a fight. May Allah bless her soul and place her among the righteous. Am I ready to face my creator? Frankly speaking, a big NO! I have so much unfinished business waiting to be completed. So many more things to learn, to equip myself with what's necessary to ensure my final transition goes smoothly, God willing. Everyday, I think of death. As macabre as it sounds but I do! The more so after I reached half a century on earth 3 years ago. I can just 'go' anytime, anywhere and anyhow. Our lives are fragile and unpredictable.
