It's been 3 years...

3 years??? Has it been that long??? Well yeah, it surely has been 3 years that I last posted anything in this blog of mine. Between those times till now, a lot has happened in my life. Mostly good and uplifting things.

My 2 youngest children went to university in Melbourne, my 2 older children got married within a space of 2 years, my daughter is expecting her first child...yes!!! I am gonna be a grandmother soon...haha. I have also moved house from Shah Alam to Mont Kiara, which I love very much. Oh ya, I have left Facebook for good too and it's been more than a year now that my life has been free of negative vibes that permeates through FB often times. To be honest, leaving FB was the best decision I made that time and frankly, I have not missed anything that relates to FB at all! 
So, the only social media platform that I use to share my pics and thoughts now is Instagram. 

I have also started a new hobby and interest...acrylic painting... mostly self-taught through YouTube videos. Those times I spent painting had been therapeutic and it had given me a chance to unleash my pent-up emotions and energies...haha...to say the least.

The last 5 to 6  months or so have been life changing for so many people globally. What with the pandemic of Covid-19 wreaking havoc on the world. Turning lives upside down in so many ways. A lot of people have been displaced, many have lost their source of income and many have succumbed to Covid-19 too. But I am still thankful that my family, as well as so many other families can still go on living. Though for some it has been and still is a struggle, we stand united in fighting this pandemic.

Anyway, on the whole, life has been great...alhamdulillah. May not be perfect but I thank Allah for all that He has blessed me and my family with.

Aahhh, at last I have a blog to call my own. Musings sounds good doesn't it? LIFE...without FACEBOOK for a week.

Since I am on a one week's leave of absence from Facebook, I thought I'd have a daily log of activities, starting from Day 1 till Day 7, or whatever day that's the last...haha DAY 1 - Thursday, 26th January, 2012 Started off the day as usual. Went around the condo cleaning and dusting and collecting bags of trash to be thrown down the chute. Had a shower, got dressed then went to Peekaboo at  The Curve for my customary hair wash. Lucky I went there early, otherwise I would have had to wait longer for my hair to be washed since it was their first day of reopening after the CNY celebrations and some of the staff were still on leave. After Peekaboo, I crossed over to Ikano Power Centre where the Cold Storage is to get some foodstuff. Since I already knew what I wanted to buy, it was a quick walk round the aisles with a basket in hand. Got all that I needed, then it was back to the Curve side, got the car and headed for home. Marriage - Second Time Around (Part 2)

(Do read Part 1 before reading Part 2.) It's been 4 years now since I got married for the second time on the 12th of January, 2013. Gosh! 4 years ago too that I posted of my marriage and since then, a lot of things have happened. The good and the bad, happy and the sad, adjustment periods and lots of sacrifices...as normal marriages go of course. Adjustment period. Yeah, what is an adjustment period some may ask. It's a period whereby a couple goes through and encounters in the course of being in a marriage. The adjustment period may take between one to two years or maybe even more for some and it all depends on the individual's characters and upbringing as well I suppose. There should be give and take, lots of trust, honesty, patience, respect for each other and a degree of openness between the couple but of course privacy is also of importance.
