FACEBOOK and I....Part 1

Am back on Facebook folks...2 days earlier than 1 week,  I think it was. Oh well, though I am back on FB, I still got to do what needed to be done. Went 'around' groups' walls checking on what's new...well, there were lots of new stuff but I felt lazy to go look at everything. Too many updates as well.

Even found myself in a new group called Retro Music. Now that's a cool group where everyone can be a DJ and post songs from yester years. Gosh! Didn't know there were so many songs I have never even heard before! How uncool can that be huh?..haha...Oh well, at least I am learning new stuff now, on Retro Music!...LOL


I am feeling kinda lazy at this moment...especially to update my FB status. Can't think of anything that could garner interesting comments from friends. Well actually, there are times when I would like to share my thoughts and ideas but putting them down in words were giving me headaches...haha. 



Before I had an FB account,  I was not into these sort of stuff. Used to think people wasted time having FB accounts...hehe...sorry for the thought. But after I got myself an account, my perspective changed. There were lots of things to be gained though with every gain, there will also be a loss. But that's life I guess.


I made many new friends on FB and also found old ones. It's amazing isn't it? Having friends that are also friends with your old friends...errr, know what I mean? Making new friends is what I like on FB. One can find common interests as well which makes for good conversation topics. 

FB and I go a long way actually...but not as long as others I think but long enough for me. I had a few accounts before this too but because of FB's ruling before, if one post's a comment too quickly, one gets a warning which in turn one's FB got deleted if one is unlucky. Well, that happened to me about 3 times I think...Gosh! Those were awful times...hahaha


Anyway, I like FB as it is now...no choice anyway. It's either you like it or not.

Another year older...

..another year wiser? Hopefully so. My last posting here was last year about my milestone 60th birthday which was celebrated on the 20th of May, together with my son's wedding reception. Well,  it's one year on now and time really flew soooo fast.. hadn't it? So, what has happened in the past year since?  My father-in-law passed away on the 29th of September at the age of 84. He died peacefully in his sleep in the wee hours of a blessed Friday morning. Sadly, I was unable to attend his funeral because I was in Singapore with my children. My husband was supposed to be with us then but he could not make it. He had been having mixed feelings actually and a sense of unease. I guess Allah wanted him to be in the country when his father breathed his last.  It was a very sad time for my husband when his father died. He had lost his best friend forever. Someone he had so much respect and admiration for. Someone who loved him very much and who believed in him. He still gets teary ...

Hello!!!

Aahhh, at last I have a blog to call my own. Musings sounds good doesn't it? It's to tell of what I am thinking at the moment , to tell of my observations of all things that's around me and may I say, it's also to give my opinion on certain things from my point of view. Having this blog too enables me to practise my writing skills. Am thinking of writing a book or penning a memoir or two. So I guess, starting a blog is a good place as any to gauge what you readers think. At the moment, I am sitting here at Starbucks, located at the Empire Gallery in Subang Jaya. Three of my kids are here with me. They wanted to get some stuff before they leave for Japan this Wednesday. Hmmm, what else do I write here eh? Everything is still new to me; slowly but surely, I'll get there in no time at all. What I need is a little bit of practice. LIFE...without FACEBOOK for a week.

Since I am on a one week's leave of absence from Facebook, I thought I'd have a daily log of activities, starting from Day 1 till Day 7, or whatever day that's the last...haha DAY 1 - Thursday, 26th January, 2012 Started off the day as usual. Went around the condo cleaning and dusting and collecting bags of trash to be thrown down the chute. Had a shower, got dressed then went to Peekaboo at  The Curve for my customary hair wash. Lucky I went there early, otherwise I would have had to wait longer for my hair to be washed since it was their first day of reopening after the CNY celebrations and some of the staff were still on leave. After Peekaboo, I crossed over to Ikano Power Centre where the Cold Storage is to get some foodstuff. Since I already knew what I wanted to buy, it was a quick walk round the aisles with a basket in hand. Got all that I needed, then it was back to the Curve side, got the car and headed for home.
